| Not to Be Missed |

A wonderful location lying between two fascinating Tyrrhenian Sea gulfs: the splendid cities of Naples and Salerno. Here, there are several itineraries to be taken among the lemon groves, olive groves and the Mediterranean scrub, age-old city centres and ancient farmhouses, archaeological sites, Saracen towers, convents and churches with splendid Eighteenth-Century majolica floors, seaside towns, lovely beaches and panoramic views which you will simply never forget.

Not to Be Missed

AGEROLA
Agerola is located in the middle of a wide green valley, and is approximately 600 meters above sea level. Agerola, is largely surrounded by natural forests, and offers its visitors amazing views of the surrounding mountains, and beautiful Mediterranean Sea. Agerola, is conveniently located in close proximity to the famous towns of: Amalfi, Positano, Ravello, Pompei, Sorrento, and many others. This makes Agerola a perfect location to go on day trips from, and plus, Agerola is also the starting center of many great hikes. The "Path of the Gods", for example, which is the most famous hike on the Amalfi Coast is begun in Agerola.

AMALFI
Amalfi is a small and picturesque seaside resort, famous for its glorious history as a maritime republic, has some spectacular scenery, and great weather conditions. The white, pink and yellow cottages are surrounded by whitewashed courtyards and winding alleys that makes a walking tour a pleasant experience. Amalfi also has several historical monuments that are worth visiting, such as the Cathedral, the old dockyards and the old Paper Mills where the famous paper of Amalfi was made in the past. Many buildings are surrounded by immaculately kept gardens and terraces, lemon trees, and grape and olive vines.

ATRANI
The town Atrani is located just 700 meters away from the famous Amalfi. Atrani was founded by the ancient Roman aristocracy, and became the wealthy residence of the most powerful families of Amalfi. Unfortunately, the town suffered when Ruggero II, and the Normanni domination began. This was only furthered with the Pisani invasion in 1337, which deprived the entire Amalfi Coast of its independence, and political power. Atrani, today, maintains it's distinct fishermen's town atmosphere. The main entrance to the town starts from the beach, and from there, the traditional houses climb up the steep mountain valley, intertwined with gardens, and vibrant lemon terraces.Atrani is away from traffic, and confusion (even in summer), because it only opens to its beach, and sea. This is probably the secret of its pleasant square, recently preferred by some conosseurs' to the famous square of Capri.

CAPRI
About 8000 people live in Capri and 7000 in Anacapri. The town of Capri is located on the eastern side of the island, Marina Grande - the port - to the North and Marina Piccola to the South. Anacapri is on the western side of the island and is separated from Capri town by the imposing slopes of Mount Solaro The climate of Capri is typically mediterranean. The temperature varies from 10 C in February - the coldest month - to 28 C in August. Spring and Autumn are the milder seasons during which it is certainly more pleasant to visit the island.

FURORE
Following the hairpin curves of the road cut into the green along the coast between Amalfi and Positano, one comes to Furore, “the town that isn’t”. In fact, rather than being a town with buildings close together, there are two villages. : one on the sea, the other one the mountains. Furore is a loose group of houses sprinkled across the rocky cliffs. These houses served to protect the fields and the country. The village of Fiordo, instead, is at the foot of the cliff, along the Amalfitana state road between Amalfi and Positano. The two villages are connected by a long step, built during the Republic of Amalfi. It has been the only connection from the sea to the mountains, for a long time.

MINORI
Minori is a small and pleasant Amalfi Coast sea-town. Its name derives from the ancient latin name "Rheginna Minor" that came from the river Rheginna, which still runs through the valley of Minori. Like other major towns of the Amalfi Coast Minori was founded by ancient roman aristocrats who chose the place for its beauty and mild climate, and built their luxurious villas here. Minori soon started to produce paper, liquors and other lemon specialties, since lemons are a typical product of this area. This production is still a main activity of the town and is carried on with strict respect of the genuine local tradition. If you come to Minori make sure you visit the ancient roman villa and the Basilica of Santa Trofimena, and the churchs of Santa Lucia, San Gennaro and San Michele as well, good examples of southern italian architecture.

POSITANO
The town of Positano is located in one of the most beautiful valleys of the Amalfi Coast, and the valley opens up to an equally magnificent stretch of coastline. Positano is a really beautiful and friendly place, with its typical mediterranean architecture and fine views, just in the heart of Amalfi Coast, a worldwide known and most attractive tourist area. The small streets and the flights of steps that characterise Positano offer a wide variety of small shops, typical workshops, ateliers, and cafes. Positano has a very glamorous side to it, because of the famous "Positano fashion style", this is just one of the many reasons that tourists from all over the world flock to the pathways, and boutiques of Positano each summer.

PRAIANO
Praiano is set like a diamond in an enchanting location, nestled among the beautiful inlets of the breathtaking Amalfi coast, a mere seven kilometers from Positano and six kilometers from Amalfi. Once an ancient fishing village, today it is a prestigious seaside resort. Praiano, known for its fine climate and excellent facilities, presents itself to the sea as a cascade of white houses on a green, flowering slope. The "Sentiero degli Dei" (Walk of the Gods) is a famous hike that starts from Praiano and reaches Agerola, giving hikers the chance to really get the best views of the Amalfi Coast.Praiano is surely one of the most genuine corners of the Amalfi Coast, away from the most touristy areas and rich with history, culture, views and comforts.

RAVELLO
Ravello is located on the ridge projecting from the mountain that divides the Valle del Dragone (Dragon's Valley) and del Regina. Based at 350 meters on the sea level, Ravello overhangs the underlying towns of Minori and Maiori. This enchanted place is among the most beautiful in the whole Amalfi Coast, with an intense and unique landscape. Ravello is renowned for its peacefulness and the deep fascination it emanates from each corner and its image is mostly connected with villas with breathtaking views seen all around the world by pictures. The most famous architectures in Ravello are Villa Cimbrone and Villa Rufolo. These buildings perfectly represent the architectural style which is typical throughout the major centres found on the Amalfi Coast. With its luxurious hotels, culture, cuisine, and much more, Ravello has everything it requires to charm its many visitors.

SORRENTO
Sorrento, how many definitions have been ascribed to this locality, one of the most well-known international tourist sights. Sorrento, native city of the poet Torquato Tasso, who was born here in 1544; kind Sorrento; Sorrento: land of colours; Sorrento: land of the Mermaids; Sorrento, the city of the orange and lemon groves, etc. Each one of these definitions contains the truth because Sorrento is indeed a very pretty little city where kindness and hospitality are a combination that is handed down from one generation to the next. Sorrento, not to be rhetorical, is indeed the land of colours: brilliant or delicate hues depending on the change of the seasons. If you just pause a moment to observe how emotional a sunset can be when you gaze in the direction of Punta del Capo, of Ischia or Procida, the outlines of which can be seen clearly, you will be amazed by the variety of colours and the beauty of the scene. Or look, preferably from the sea, towards the majestic ridge of tuff rock that changes colour at every hour of the day.

TRAMONTI
Tramonti is nice tourist destination in Italy, part of the Amalfi Coast area, set amongst the Lattari Mountains, which form the beauty and charm of the Amalfi Coast. Food and wine, trekking and natural beauties in this Italian destination.

VICO EQUENSE
Facing the Gulf of Naples, Vico Equense offers you a remarkable panoramic view of the sea. This town is also just a few kilometres from a whole series of places of considerable historic and natural interest: Naples itself, Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompeii and Hercolanuem. Vico Equense is also the ideal starting point for visiting the splendid islands of Campania. Do not forget to try the wonderful local pizza (sold al metro, by the metre)
